She was born June 19, 1940, in Paragould, Ark., the daughter of John Thomas and Thelma Louise Trout Crunk.
On March 25, 1961, in Washington, Mo., Cherry was united in marriage to Bob Meyer, who survives at their home.
Cherry worked for Jefferson Bank from 1979 until her retirement in 2005 as a Customer Service Officer. After retirement, she continued to work part time for Jefferson Bank, filling in at various locations until 2011. She was a member of American Legion Post 5 Ladies Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed being with her family and attending her grandkids' sporting events.
Other survivors include two sons, Kevin Meyer and wife, Debbie, of Jefferson City, Clay Meyer and wife, Renee, of Bolivar, Mo.; four grandchildren, Chase and MaKenzi Meyer, of Jefferson City, Cole and Cristen Meyer of Bolivar, and one brother, Tom Crunk of Kennett.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18,, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.
