James Thomas Doughten, 52, of Kennett, passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born June 16, 1960, in Kennett, son of Mary Horn Doughten, Jr., and the late Guy Doughten, Jr., he worked for Steve Crow Construction as an electrician and carpenter and was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in DeSoto, Mo.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Doughten, of DeSoto; one son, Christopher Doughten, of Paducah, Ky.; one daughter, Carlie Sue Doughten, of Owensboro, Ky.; three grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Keith Doughten and wife, Dawn, of Spring, Texas, Gary Doughten, of Holcomb, Mo., and Walter Doughten and wife, Naconda, of Hayti, Mo.; two sisters, Ruth Ann McCallister and husband, John, of Holcomb, and Theresa Barker and husband, Matthew, of DeSoto, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Doughten, Jr.; one niece, Kimberly Doughten, and his grandparents.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 10, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell, Mo., with Rev. Randy Vaughn officiating.
Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
