Maxine Josephine Ludwig Goodwin, daughter of Elmer C. Ludwig and Maudie (Schrader) Ludwig, born at Risco on February 12, 1931. She was baptized at Grace Lutheran Angelic in Parma and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Malden. She died August 6, 2012, at Heather Hill Hospice in Newport Richey, Fla.
On February 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Dencil Goodwin of Davisburg, Mich. He preceded her in death in February 1993.
She graduated from Risco High School in 1949. She worked for Dr. Carlston and then later worked at the Holcomb High School in Holcomb. She also worked as a Medical Dictaphone Operator at Pontiac Mental Hospital in Mich. She owned and operated a gas station/convenience store in Newport Richey, Fla.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Russell Goodwin of Newport Richey, Fla.; one granddaughter, Brittany of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers, Bob Ludwig of Maryland Heights, Mo., Arlin Ludwig of Farmington, Mo., and Norman Ludwig of Parma and three sisters, Thelma Niehaus of Dexter, Norma Macon of Georgia and Georganna Noubarian.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Ludwig, Jr., and Schrader Edward Ludwig; one sister, Anna Joice, one sister that was born dead and one baby brother that lived seven hours.
Burial will be later in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
