Ruby M. Dennis, 84, of Forrest City, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. Her death came sudden and unexpected.
Mrs. Dennis was born Sept. 17, 1927, in Coldwater, Miss., and was the daughter of Clarence W. Meals and Una Lusk Meals. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, was retired from Entergy, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was a member of the United Methodist Women at the First United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Dennis married Bennett Dennis in 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Dennis Stonner, of Kennett; one son, N.B. Dennis III, of Moro, Ark.; one brother, Clarence Wade Meals II, of Charlestown, Ind.; three grandchildren, Lindsay, Georgeann, and Jack; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services for Mrs. Dennis were held at 10 a.m., today, Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Forrest City.
Burial was in Forrest Park Cemetery.
