Delmar Lloyd "Mac" McDaniel, son of the late W.E. McDaniel and Ilo Crain McDaniel, was born Jan. 16, 1930, in McGee, Mo., and departed this life Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 8 days.
Delmar married Mary Ruth Hardy on Dec. 5, 1951.
He served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth McDaniel, of Kennett; two sons, Butch McDaniel and wife, Shelly, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Billy McDaniel and wife, Sheila, of Kennett; four daughters, Debbie Pope and husband, Doug, of Doniphan, Mo., Connie Landrum and husband, Eddie, of Hammond, La., Vicky McDaniel, of Baker, La., and Peggy Jones, of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren, Bobby and Danny Carpenter, Chris and Ashley McDaniel, Wes and Phil Landrum, Ben, Chad, Doug Stroham and Dawn Depedro, Dustin Dennis and Kim Wilson; 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., today, Thursday, July 26, 2012, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett,.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., today, Thursday, July 26, at McDaniel Chapel with Rev. Larry Edwards, Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
