Mr. Carol D. "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, 70, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., formerly of Warsaw, Mo., died, Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Benchmark Healthcare Center in Harrisonville, Mo.
Fitz was a pipe fitter and welder for the Olin Winchester Corp. at Lake City, Mo., retiring in December of 1996. He attended the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw, was a Master Mason and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He never had an "off" season as he loved hunting, fishing, bowling, trap shooting, and especially playing golf. His sense of humor and love of life will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marilyn, of Pleasant Hill; two sons, Kelly Fitzpatrick and wife, Lisa, of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Brian Fitzpatrick, of Pleasant Hill; three brothers, John Fitzpatrick of Warsaw, Paul Fitzpatrick and wife, Judy, of Dexter, Mo., and Jeff Fitzpatrick, of St. Charles, Mo.; one sister, Connie Jaspering, of Washington, Iowa; two grandchildren, Zachary and Taylor, and other relatives and friends.
Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 27, 2012, at Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, Mo. Graveside military services and inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice Care of the Mid-West and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
