Mabel Utley Kelley, daughter of the late Brodie T. Droke and Mattie Owen Droke, was born October 9, 1917 in the Cold Water Community and passed away July 13, 2012, at Heritage Gardens of Senath, Mo., at the age of 94 years.

She married Alexander Brice (A.B.) Utley on September 15, 1937 at Senath. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1980.

She then married A.L. Junior Kelley on March 26, 1986 at Dyersburg, Tenn., who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Phillip Utley, and wife Janet, of Jonesboro, Ark.; three grandsons, Jeff Utley, of Paris Landing, Tenn., Kevin Utley, and wife Lisa, of Memphis, Tenn., and Stephen Utley, and wife, Caroline, also of Memphis; two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters; and other relatives and many friends.

Mabel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Senath. She served as president of McDaniel Funeral Service for many years.

Visitation was held at 11 a.m., today, Tuesday, July 17, at McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., at McDaniel Chapel with the Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.

Burial was in the Senath Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Fred Chandler, Joe Chandler, Tom Chandler, Jason Chandler, Lester Hunter, John David Raines, and Bill Holifield.
