Veda Edison McDonald, 90, of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Campbell, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould.
Born Dec. 29, 1921, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late McKinley Jackson Smith and Irene Thompson Smith, she was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture, and a member of the Campbell Church of Christ.
On Oct. 26, 1940, in Cardwell, Mo., she married Woodrow Wilson McDonald, who preceded her in death on March 12, 1991. She was also preceded in death by one son, Terry Wayne McDonald; two brothers, M.C. Smith and Troy Smith and one sister, Edith Smith.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Marcia Rogers and husband, Casey, of Paragould; two great-grandsons, Tyler Wayne Rogers and Britt William Rogers, both of Paragould; one brother, Bobby Smith, of Leachville, Ark., and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday, July 13, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, July 13, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell.
