Zell Marie Tucker, daughter of the late James Archie Stewart and Mattie Dee Lancaster Stewart, was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Cardwell, Mo., and passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at National Health Care in Kennett, at the age of 93.
On Aug. 21, 1940, in Cardwell, Mo., she married Marion James Tucker, Jr., who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1980. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker raised strawberries for 50 years near Hollywood, Mo.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Bryant, Warren, Kenneth, Vadys, Edwin, Leonard Victor and Samuel Edgar, and four sisters, Crystal, Wanda Lee, Gladys and Roberta.
Survivors include two sons, Gaylon Tucker, of Cardwell and Danny Tucker, of Arbyrd, Mo.; two sisters, Virginia Haddix and Ruby Parry, both of Anaheim, Calif.; two grandchildren, Gregory S. Tucker and David S. Tucker; two great-grandchildren, Abigail R. Tucker and Byron S. Tucker, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, at the Hollywood Church of Christ with Jody McFadden officiating, assisted by Raymond Lasley.
Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Kenny Bateman, Donald Merritt, Jeff Carter, Gregg Thomas, Mike DeVault and Jamie DeVault.
