Zola Mae James, of Kennett, daughter of the late Harry Icenogle and Ethel Keeling Icenogle, was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Datto, Ark., and departed this life Thursday, June 21, 2012, at National Health Care in Kennett, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 14 days.
Zola Mae married William James on Nov. 1, 1946, in Piggott, Ark. William and Zola Mae celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past November.
She loved to cook for her family and made the best fried pies.
Survivors include her husband, William James, of Kennett; four daughters: Patricia Kaye Randall, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Pamela Sue Wallace and husband Weldon, of Campbell, Mo., Terry Gail Lacy, of Malden, Mo., Marlene Banks and husband, Tommy, of Blytheville, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Angela Kaye Osborne, Ronnie Wren, Gary Wren, Sherry Boyster, Tammy Jones, Kenny Waller, Chad Allen and Tyler Banks; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Williams, of Bee Branch, Ark., and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 23, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the McDaniel Chapel with Rev. Doug Wahls officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tommy Banks, Tyler Banks, Kenny Waller, Chad Allen, Weldon Wallace and Wesley Gossett.
