Violet Marie Tice, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Brock and Cora Emline Dikes Brock, was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Brillant, Ala., and departed this life Sunday, June 17, 2012, at National Health Care in Kennett, at the age of 87 years.
She was a longtime member of Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett.
Violet married Paul Granvil on Sept. 28, 1943, in Hamilton, Ala.
Survivors include one son, Steve Tice and wife, Christy, of Kennett; two daughters, Paulette Holden and husband Steve, of Kelso, Wash., and Debbie Williford of Kennett; three sisters, Mary Brock, of Kennett, Beverly Williams and husband Gaylon, of Senath, Mo., and Clara Mae Moore and husband, Leo, of Perryville, Ark.; four grandchildren, LaTisha Clark , of Kelso, Aarron Holden, of Kelso, Christopher Williford, of Hodges, Ala., and Shannon Williford, of Kennett; seven great-grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends, and a brother-in-law, Sammy Price, of Kennett.
Violet was preceded in death by six sisters, Beatrice Goddard, Norma Price, Tina Hardin and Bunky, Alice and Leburn Gibbs, Jesse Ruth and Doyle Payne and Emily Brock.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 19, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Rick Harden, Mark Goddard, Shannon Williford, Jerry Tice, Lee Hyde and Gaylon Williams.
Honorary pallbearer is Sammy Price.
