Wendy Campbell, 47, of Paragould, Ark., passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Ark.
She was born Nov. 23, 1964, in Millington, Tenn., at the Millington Naval Base to E.O. ""Eber"" and Vernelle Campbell. She attended elementary and junior high school in Campbell, Mo., and graduated high school in 1983 from Woodham High School in Pensacola, Fla., and graduated in 1988 from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
She worked as a journalist for the Daily Dunklin Democrat, Northeast Arkansas Tribune in Paragould, Times Dispatch in Walnut Ridge, Ark., Newport Daily Independent and Jonesboro Sun.
After an illness, she moved to Arkansas from Pensacola, where she was a writer/photographer with the Pensacola News Journal and their numerous publications including, Bella and Home and Garden. She was also employed as a writer/photographer with Snowbirds, serving Alabama and Florida gulf coast.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by numerous cousins, and a host of good friends.
A private burial is planned.
