Alfred Lee Jaques, son of the late Truman Jaques and Flora Walker Jaques, was born Feb. 24, 1925, in White Oak, Mo. He passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 14 days.
Mr. Jaques was married to Faye Dell Wilson, the mother of his five daughters. She preceded him in death. He later married Ollie Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Ollie Jaques, of Kennett; five daughters, Tena Davenport and husband, Gene, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Nancy Davenport and her husband Ricky of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Pamelia French, of Atlanta, Ga., Shelia Calder, of Malden, Mo., and Sherry Jackson and husband, Sammy, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Henry Broglin, of White Oak, Mo.; two sisters, Mickey Montgomery, of Steelville, Mo., and Helen Chamblin, of San Antonio, Texas; 11 Grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
Mr. Jaques was preceded in death by a brother, Ballard Jaques and a sister, Orbie Terry.
Mr. Jaques was in the U.S. Army and served in Korea during the Korean Conflict.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 11, at First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett with Rev. Don Sheerin officiating.
Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
Pallbearers were grandsons, John French, Tim French, Alex French, Evan French, Paul Jackson, Chris Calder, Sean Davenport and Ray Calder.
