Wanda Lee Simpson Rackley, 78, of Clarkton died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon. She was a member of Stanfield Baptist Church in Clarkton.
Born in Clarkton on August 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy Smith and Dorothy (Kifer) Smith. On September 17, 1949, in Piggott, she was united in marriage to Leonis L. "Bo" Simpson, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1975. Later, on January 11, 1984, in Kentucky, she was united in marriage to Earnest Rackley, who preceded her in death on February 26, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, L.D. "Bud" Skidmore.
Surviving are three sons, Steven Simpson and wife, Donna, of Clarkton, Tony Simpson and wife, Cindy, of Clarkton and Shawn Simpson and wife, Sheila, of Clarkton; one daughter, Shelly Simpson McDavid of Clarkton; one sister, Bernice Patterson of Clarkton; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 5, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 6, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jack Allen and Rev. Dale Rickman officiating. Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
