He was born Dec. 22, 1950, in Hamilton, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Hattie Rollins Hardwick.
On June, 22, 1988, in St. Louis, Mo., he married Clayetta McDaniels, who preceded him in death on March, 6, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Hattie Rollins Hardwick; a brother, Steven W. Hardwick; two sisters, Nancy Caffazo and Nikki Jackson, and two sons, Ed Schaffer and Jeff Schaffer.
David spent his life working in the automotive industry as a mechanic, detailer and automotive transporter. He was an auto enthusiast, and loved having a good time with his friends. Most of all he loved and cherished his family.
He is survived by three brothers, Jeffery Hardwick Sr., of Elsberry, Mo., Kenneth L. Hardwick, of Spanish Lakes, Mo., and Danny Hardwick, of Laconia, N.H.; three sisters, Janice Chandler, of Elsberry, Patty K. Danes, of Elsberry, and Donna Disney and husband, Carey, of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sons and their wives, Paul Schaffer and Chrissy, of Nemo, Mo., David A. Hardwick Jaworski and Sheila, of Kokomo, Ind., and Kenneth James Hardwick and Rebecca, of Hamilton, Ohio; three daughters, Connie Lee, of Paragould, Ark., Jacklin Odom and husband, George, of Columbia, Mo., and Richelle Hardwick of Kennett; 31 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Services are to be announced at a later time as so that the family may be able to carry out the wishes of Mr. and Mrs. Hardwick.
