Everett Emro Farmer, son of the late Jerry C. Farmer and Ada Baker Farmer, was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Charleston, Mo., and departed this life Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the age of 93 years, 4 months and 17 days.
Everett married Lois Gladish on June 12, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He served in the United States Army during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Farmer, of Kennett; two sons, Steven J. Farmer, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Mark E. Farmer, of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Hannah Todt and husband, Cletus, of Cape Girardeau, and other relatives and many friends.
Everett was preceded in death by one brother, James C. Farmer; a sister-in-law, Joanne Farmer and one sister, Margaret Davis.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 5, at the First Christian Church in Kennett.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, June 5, at the First Christian Church with Rev. David Everton officiating.
Burial will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, in Fairmont Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
Pallbearers are Phillip Britt, Jim Storey, Thomas Kelley, Joe Farmer, Rick Geringer and Rick Carver.
Honorary pallbearers are Dale Ray, Gary Ray, Tony Byrd, Gary Geringer and Ben Byrd.
