Garry Key, 66, of Barnhart, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis County, Mo.
He was born Oct. 13, 1945, in Kennett, Missouri, the son of the late Lena Snipes and Charley Key.
He is survived by his wife Laura "Kaye" Rollins Key; daughters, Tammy Engelbach and husband, Robert, of Barnhart and Kristell Key, of Barnhart; a son, Steven Key and wife, Heather, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Jerris Waddell, of Kennett; brother, Don Key and wife, Thelma, of Kennett; grandchildren, Jarred Engelbach and fiancÚ, Heather, Brent Engelbach, and friend Lexi, Geordan and Jakob Key, Bryanne, Alexyus, Atreyu and Josiah McCallister, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He retired after 32 years as a truck driver for Complete Auto Transit of St. Louis, now Allied Systems of Wentzville, Mo. He was a member of Teamsters Local #604 retirees club.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, June 1, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Vineyard Hillcrest Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Holland, Minister with Radiant Life Pentecostal Church of Festus, Mo., officiating.
Interment will follow in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery at Barnhart.
Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
