Wanda Hopson, of Piggott, Ark., daughter of the late Merk Stanley and Edna MoField Stanley, was born July 18, 1920 in Nimmons, Ark., and departed this life Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Piggott Community Hospital, at the age of 91 years 10 months and 1 day.
On Dec. 7, 1946, in Kennett, Wanda married Elmer J. "Hoppy" Hopson. Elmer preceded her in death. Wanda was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Slaton and Ruth Strong and a brother-in-law, Bob Butler.
Survivors include one son, Michael David Hopson and wife Carolee, of Gulf Port, Miss.; one daughter, Bobbie Stheiner, of Piggott, Ark.; five grandchildren, Charles, Sam and Tasha Marie Hopson, Sydney Renee Blume and Dana Collins; six great grandchildren, Adrienne, Dayna and Nick Quillman, Steven, Dillan and Atianna Hopson; five great-great-grandchildren, Koda MaKoy, Sydalie Marine, Ryder Tyler and Devon Nickolas Quillman and Abigail Ruby Rae Ashley; one brother, David E. Stanley and wife, Lois, of Grand Blanc, Mich.; one sister, Shelby Butler, of Lake City, Ark., and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m., today, Tuesday, May 22, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett, Missouri.
Pallbearers were Steve Benton, Tim Blume, Paul Blume, Kurt Slaton, Calvin, Mark Piskorz and Brian Snyder.
