She was born on July 6, 1919, in Bernie, Mo. Her life was spent supporting her husband, Eugene Diggs, on their cotton and soybean farm in southeast Missouri. For the last four years she has lived at Sterling House in Maryville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Diggs; parents, Ollie Kitrel Floyd and Joseph Kitrel; stepfather, Amos Floyd; sisters, Marcell Floyd, Wilma Snow, and brothers Dawsy, D.L., Doyle and Tom.
She is survived by her sister, Eunice Bost, of Dunklin County; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Dr. Charles Raper, of Maryville; granddaughters and grand-sons-in-law, Hope and Todd Huston, of Gastonia, N.C., Amy and Angelo Bufalino, of Memphis, Tenn., Jennifer and Marc Funk, of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Cheryl and Chris Triko, of Knoxville, Tenn. She was also great-grandmother and beloved "Tanmama" to eight, Morgan and Sam Stout, Alex and Zachary McWhirter, Elizabeth and Liam Funk, and William and Michael Triko.
Mrs. Diggs was a life-long member of Forest Grove Baptist Church in Cardwell, Mo.
Her life will be celebrated at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould, on Friday, May 11. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday.
Interment will follow in the Greene County Memorial Gardens.
