Maria Linda Slavings, 36, of Tallapoosa died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at a residence in Tallapoosa. She attended the Baptist Church in Tallapoosa.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, on December 3, 1975, she was the daughter of Reynalda Lerma and Fay and Mary Jones Manning, adopted parents.

Survivors include her mother, Reynalda Lerma of Malden; two sons, Romero Slavings and Dalton Manning of Tallapoosa; adopted parents, Fay and Mary Manning of Tallapoosa; two sisters, Sonya Sanders of Malden and Hope Huggins of Malden, three brothers, Julian Lerma of Portageville, Arturo Lerma of Poplar Bluff and Alfredo Manning of Springfield, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Lucy Manning, two brothers, Valentine Manning and Julio Lerma and grandparents, Felix and Luz Lerma.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 8, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 9, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden. Bradshaw Funeral home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
