Kathleen Clifford Rogers, 89, of Paragould, Ark., formerly of Rector, Ark., passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital.
She was born July 9, 1922, to the late Henry and Nell Pearson Montgomery in Clay County, Ark. She owned flower shops in Rector and Kennett for a number of years and was president of Arkansas Florist. She was a feature designer and taught design schools from Boston, Mass. to Texas and all of the East Coast.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husbands, Jack Clifford, Bob Talbert and Myron Rogers and her brothers, Cloyce and Wayne Montgomery and one sister, Lucille Holifield.
Surviving Kathleen is a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Winn, of Lafe, Ark.; two granddaughters Tammy and Joe Higgins, both of Columbus, Miss., and Teia and Richard Burks, of Marmaduke, Ark.; three great-grandchildren, Hanna Higgins, Cory Burks and Victoria Burks and a great- great- granddaughter, Veronica James.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 28, at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 29, with Rev. Mace Straubel officiating.
Burial will follow in the Woodland Heights Cemetery.
