Marlene Allgood, daughter of the late Charlie Davis and Elzie Thompson Davis, was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Morley, Mo., and departed this life Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 20 days.
Marlene married Jimmie Allgood on May 5, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wilburn Davis and two sisters, Alma Harper and Marie Slow.
Her survivors include one son, Jimmie "Bub" Allgood and wife, Jan, of Kennett; one daughter, Paula Jackson and husband, Don, of Malden, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Allgood, Jennifer Nigut, Jane Provance, Tammy Gonzales, Julie DeSpain, Penny Nicholson and Troy Jackson; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett with Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Pallbearers are Jimmy "Bub" Allgood, Jeremy Allgood, Terry Key, Terry Don Key, Roman Nigut and Kevin Nicholson.
