Thomas "Tom" White, 79, of Jackson died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his residence in Jackson. He was retired from White Trash Hauling. He was a member of The Rock International Ministries in Jackson.

Born in Bolden, Miss., on June 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Walter White and Illene (Jameson) White. On April 2, 1974, in Malden, he was united in marriage to Alice Beatrice Harris, who preceded him in death on February 2, 1999.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Coats and Brenda Wigfall.

Surviving are four sons, James White of Oakland, Calif., Michael Sherrod of St. Louis, Corey Sherrod and wife, Verna Dean, of Norcross, Ga., and Rev. Thomas White and wife, Zsavonda, of Jackson; two daughters, Twania White of Duluth, Ga., and Monica White of Jackson, four brothers, Frank White of Chicago, Ill., Clint Wigfall, Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz., Alton Wigfall of Grandview, Mo., and Willie Wigfall of Grandview; three sisters, Thelma Jackson of Grandview, Barbara Scott of Chicago and Pearline Mae Alexander of Clinton, Miss.; 21 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held Tuesday, April 17, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, April 18, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Anthony Green and Rev. Thomas White officiating. Burial will be in Catron Cemetery at Catron. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
