Harold Dean Burge, 81, of Springfield, formerly of Malden, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Springfield. He served in U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He was a farmer and a long time member of the First Christian Church in Malden.

Born in Malden on August 14, 1930, he was the son of the late Horace Burge and Louise (Pedigo) Burge. On June 9, 1956, he was united in marriage to Doris Ann (Cagle) Burge, who preceded him in death on March 29, 2008. Later on February 18, 2009, in Edinburg, Texas, he married Pat (Stewart) Burge, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Clint Burge and wife, Pamela, of Malden and Brad Burge and wife, Deanna, of Malden; three grandchildren, Jason Burge and wife, Ann Marie, of Malden, Braden Burge of Malden and Brody Burge of Malden; three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kaylynn and Gage Burge, one brother, Joe Burge of Malden and one sister, Marilyn Reisenwitz of Niceville, Fla.

In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, John Burge and one sister, Janne McMillion.

Visitation was held Tuesday, April 24, at First Christian Church in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 25, at First Christian Church in Malden with Dr. Jeff Krupinski and Mr. Randy Moore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden. Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
