Shirley Jean McCracken, age 63 of Hornersville, Mo., died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Heritage Gardens in Senath, Mo.
Born January 12, 1949, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Node and Helen Tyson Kennedy and had been a long-time area resident. She was a CNA for the Senath Nursing Home for over 30 years. Mrs. McCracken was a very loving and caring person and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her dog Baby Jane.
She is survived by two sons, Jason McCracken and wife, Connie, of Arbyrd, Mo., and Steven McCracken and wife, Tina, of Paragould, Ark.; two brothers, Bobby Abbott, of Hornersville, and Gary Abbott ,of Texas; two sisters, Patsy Vaughn, of Hornersville, and Doris Furlow and husband, David, of Senath, Mo. She also leaves one grandson, Jesse McCracken; four granddaughters, Eva, Jade, Savannah and Satera McCracken, and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCracken was preceded in death by one brother, James Abbott and four sisters, Barbara Sewell, Betty Abbott, Phyllis Brown and Sue Holloway.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, April 9, at the Senath Church of Christ.
The family will receive visitors at 3 p.m., Monday, April 9, until time of service at the church with Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Ark. in charge of arrangements.
