Mildred Inez Wegener, daughter of the late Matthew Carroll and Birdie Allen Carroll, was born Nov. 24, 1929, in Clarkton, Mo., and departed this life Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 5 days.
Mildred was the dedicated owner of Mildred's Daycare in Kennett.
She was married to John Wegener, who preceded her in death. She later married James Stacey, who also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Finus and Floyd Carroll and a grandson, Shawn Utley.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Helton and Bobby Cash of Kennett and Charlyn Utley of Kennett; five grandchildren, Jeremy Folkes, Nikki and Robert Jenkins, Christina and Jeff Damron, Jonathan and Jackie Utley and Sunshine Gaddy; six great-grandchildren, Morgan Folkes, Chloe and John Jenkins, Christian and Madison Damron, and Tyler Utley; two brothers, Junior and Mattie Carroll, of Kennett and Bobby Carroll of Malden, Mo.; one sister, Betty and Junior Moore, of Van Alstyne, Texas, and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., Sunday, April 1, at McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 1, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Bobby Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Folkes, Jeff Damron, Robert Jenkins, Tim Damron, Ronald Harty and Don McCue.
