Born Nov. 23, 1954, in Miami, Okla., son of Charles and Mary Jo Abernathy Wheeler, he had lived in Ottawa County area most of his life. He was a foreman, working for Trinity Enterprises. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of Red Red Rose and American Welding Society.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles, and a brother, Matthew.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Fioretti and husband, Steven, of Stigler, Okla., and Mandi Bridges and husband, Tyler, of Chandler, Okla.; significant other, Marlene Brannan, of Kennett; his mother, Mary Jo Wheeler, of Afton, Okla.; two brothers, Roy Wheeler and wife, Linda, of Neosho, Mo., and Steven Wheeler and wife, Tami, of Afton; a sister, Lisa Hager and husband, Rusty, of Ponca City, Okla., and grandchildren, Remington and Addison Fioretti and Kinsley Bridges
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday March 30, at the First United Methodist Church in Fairland, Okla., with Rev. Carol Minter officiating.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m., at Greenlawn Cemetery N.W. in Treece, Kan.
Pallbearers are Josh Wheeler, Cody Wheeler, Robert Norman, Caleb Wheeler, Aaron Wheeler and Chris Conrad.
Honorary pallbearers are Steven Fioretti and Tyler Bridges.
