Janet L. Wallace, daughter of the late Vernie Lance and Edna Loraine Crody Lance, was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Kennett, and departed this life Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at the age of 70 years, one month and one day.
Janet married Floyd Wallace on Dec. 23, 1961.
She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Kennett.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Wallace, of Kennett; three daughters, Lisa Story and husband, Eric, of Kimberling City, Mo., Karen Tucker and husband, Keith, of Kennett and Tracy Wallace, of Kennett; two brothers, Jack Lance, of Kennett and Denny Joe Lance, of Kennett; seven grandchildren, Somer Jackson, Jerad Callahan, B.J. Crosskno, Jason Crosskno, Devon Goodman, Alex Tucker and Kellen Story; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many many friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Reva Jewell Lance.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Tuesday, Feb. 14, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Gary Myers officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Jerad Callahan, Eric Story, Keith Tucker, Jason Crosskno, Alex Tucker and Chris Goodman.
Honorary pallbearers are Mike Mungle, Billy Jackson, James Stacy, Carl Goodrich, Bobby Joe Luttrell, Freddy Greenway and Wayne Tucker.
