Rose Belle Bartlett, 93, of Gideon died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon. She was s member of the First Baptist Church in Gideon.
Born in Garland Springs, Ark., on January 30, 1919, she was the daughter of the late W.H. Shultz and Janie (Mason) Shultz. On September 26, 1942, in Malden, she was united in marriage to Alvin Lee Bartlett, who preceded her in death on October 20, 1992.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Shultz and four sisters, Irene Shultz Sisk, Juanita Shultz Brown, Ethel Shultz Penecost and Dorothy Shultz Douglas.
Survivors include two sons, Denny Michael Bartlett and wife, Margie, of Hollister, Mo., and Stephen Lee Bartlett of Gainesville, Mo.; two daughters, Sharon Bartlett Brents and husband, Jackie, of Bragg City and Deanna Bartlett Weaver of Piedmont; one sister, Gracie Shultz Thompson of House Springs, Mo., eight grandchildren, Kerry Brents, Rhonda Brents Daugherty, Kyle Weaver, Darren Weaver, Michael Bartlett, Marcus Bartlett, Treasa Bartlett, Stacie Bartlett Richmond and 17 great-grandchildren, Tyler Daugherty, Justin Daugherty, Amber Brents, Kaleb Brents, Maddie Weaver, Kaci Weaver, Brice Richmond, Caitlin Richmond, Breanna Richmond, Jeremy Richmond, Gage Bartlett, Jace Bartlett, Megan Bartlett, Raylen Bartlett, Brianne Bartlett, Kayla Bartlett and Kendall Bartlett, and one great-great-grandchild, Gavin Brents.
Visitation was held Friday, February 10, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon. Funeral services followed immediately in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lloyd Anderson officiating. Burial was at Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton. Pallbearers were Kerry Brents, Kaleb Brents, Kyle Weaver, Darren Weaver, Colin Daugherty and Mark Hughes. Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Daugherty and Justin Daugherty.
