Dixie June Kackley, of Hayti, Mo., formerly of Rives, Mo., daughter of the late Samuel Channell and Alma Richardson Channell, was born July 5, 1934, in Holland, Mo., and departed this life Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 5 days.
Dixie married Cleamon L. Kackley on Dec. 14, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1979. She was also preceded in death by one son, Lloyd Franklin Kackley; a grandson, Brandon Kackley, and two sisters, Jean Smith and Faye Boyer.
Her survivors include one son, Raymond Leon Kackley, of Steele, Mo.; two daughters, Vivian Lorena Pflueger and husband, Ernest, of Kennett, and Mellissa Reyna Carter and husband Glenn, of Steele; six grandchildren, Angie Blankenship, Chad Payne, Jessica Robinson, Dustin, Colton and Kailey Carter; six great-grandchildren, Colbey and Kyler Williams, Chloe and Blake Payne, Easton Blankenship and Luke Robinson; one sister, Ruth Ann McLaughin and husband, Jack, of Limon, Neb., and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12, at the First Baptist Church in Steele, Mo., with Pastor Michael Funderburk officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
Pallbearers will be Kerry Noble, Terry Noble, Jerry Noble, Kenny Noble, Steve Noble and Howard Noble, Jr.
