Max Edwin Higgins, son of the late Herman Herbert and Bertha May Gatlin Higgins, was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Arbyrd, Mo., and passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Heritage Gardens of Senath in Senath, Mo., at the age of 74.
On Dec. 26, 1959, in Senath, he married Glenda Lou Cude.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Lou Higgins, of Arbyrd; two sons, Derrick Higgins and wife, Dana, of Arbyrd and Jeff Higgins, of Arbyrd; one brother, Don Higgins and wife, Gloria, of Senath; a sister-in-law, Pauline Higgins, of Senath; three grandchildren, Brett Higgins, Brady Higgins and David Higgins, and other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.
Burial was in the Lulu Cemetery near Senath.
Pallbearers were Dean McDougal, Gerald Pierce, Anthony Parker, Donald Malone, Bud Malone and Brad Williams.
