Betty Sue Wilkins, 82, of Hornersville, Mo., passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Dec. 30, 1929, in Hornersville, daughter of the late Jess L. Duty and Arevia York Duty, she was a homemaker, a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star Hornersville Chapter No. 523.

On Jan. 2, 1949, she married Thomas B. "Pete" Wilkins, who preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1983.

Survivors include one daughter, Gail Tipton and husband, John, of Linn Creek, Mo.; one son, Allen Wilkins and wife, Jan, of Woodlands, Texas; one sister, Louise Gore, of Vidalia, La.; three grandchildren, Laurie Shinault, Becca Tipton and Colton Wilkins; two great-grandchildren, Brock Shinault and Blair Shinault, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was held from 1:30 p.m., until service time at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Hornersville Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Hornersville Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Moore and Bro. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Joe Mel Hinsley, Terry Keating, Mike James, Mark Moore, Marty Moore and Jerry Branum.

Honorary pallbearers were Bond Rouse, Jimmy Lee, Jr., Jim McCaleb and Winford Henson.

Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
