Junior Vaughn, son of the late Andrew Jefferson Vaughn and Estella Jane Neighbors Vaughn, was born Oct. 14, 1927, in Senath, Mo., and passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, at the age of 84.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
On Aug. 15, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., he married Dorothy Coffel.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Vaughn, of Senath; one daughter, Sharon Davis and husband, Neal, of Jonesboro, Ark.; two grandchildren, Brandon Wayne Davis and Shari Michelle Palmer; one great-grandchild, William Anthony Palmer, and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Vaughn and Monroe Vaughn, and three sisters, Ruth Perry, Gladys Simpson and Mavis Simpson.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, January 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Lulu Baptist Church with Rev. J.E. Crews officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Terry Kelley, Jerry Kelley, Jim Counts, Howard Hill, Jerry McGrew, Joe Callahan and Lester Jean Smith.
