Bernice Mosbey Peck, 97, of Bridgeton, Mo., died Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Mark Twain Manor in Bridgeton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship General Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
Born in Zelma, Mo., on March 25, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Howard Isaac Sturgeon and Clara Lacey Sturgeon.
In 1937, she was married to Perry Theo Mosbey who preceded her in death in 1976. She was later married to Ralph Peck who also preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, A.E. Sturgeon, Bill Sturgeon and Alfred Sturgeon and two sisters, Alta Mincey and Freda Day.
Surviving are three sons, Perry Mosbey and wife, Sue, of St. Charles, Deral Mosbey and wife, Mary, of Lindstrom, Minn., and Ray Mosbey and wife, Linda, of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, one sister, Velma Arrington of Neelyville and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will follow immediately in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Bryon Beck officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden. Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
