Aubrey Alvertis Harris, 86, of Kennett, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.
Born March 16, 1925, in Point Pleasant, Mo., son of the late Chester Harris and Elja Pattilo Harris, he was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Kennett.
On Dec. 27, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., he married Mildred Williford, who preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 2008. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Joyce Harris and Carol Jean Heck, and three sisters, Ruby Fielder, Chestene Chappell and Louise Savage.
Survivors include three daughters, Janet Rose, of Bloomfield, Mo., Angela Owens and husband, Clyde, and Audrey Mitchell and husband, David, all of Kennett; two brothers, Everett Harris, and Doyle Harris, of Texas; one sister, Karnese Thompson, of Kennett; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, Friday, Jan. 13, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Sheerin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wardell Memorial Cemetery at Wardell, Mo.
Pallbearers are James Trammel, Billy Owens, Daniel Owens, Matthew Owens, Dale Heck, Chuck Heck and Lynn Heck.
Honorary pallbearers are Lacey Mitchell, Stephanie Owens, Michelle Heck, Rachel Cauble and Sarah Trammel.
