Willie Childress III
Willie Charles Childress III, 38, of Kennett, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Mo. Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

Born Aug. 1, 1973, in Hayti, Mo., son of Willie Charles Childress, Jr., and Ida Rose Childress, he was a member of the Abiding Peace Church in Kennett.

Survivors include his fiancÚ, Allison Smith, of Kennett; one son, Jessie Childress, of Kennett; four step-childrren, Zyauna Smith, of Kennett, Jaimie, of St. Louis, Mo., Jay, of Kennett and D.J. Smith, of Kennett; his father, Willie Jr., and Evon Childress, of Kennett; his mother, Ida Childress, of Bragg City, Mo.; two brothers, Peter Childress and wife, Mandy, of Kennett and David Childress, of Bragg City; one sister, Tina, of St. Louis; four uncles, Alexander Rose and wife, Janice, of Boston, Mass., Daniel Rose and wife, Darlene, of Caruthersville, Mo., Junior Rose and wife, Dorothy, of Gobler, Mo., and Tommy Brown and wife, Loretta, of Louisville, Ky, and a host other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a cousin, Paul Rose; an aunt, Lillie Rose; two uncles, T.J. Rose and Sammy Brown, and grandparents, Ethel Rose and Frank Rose.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time at 1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 15, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 15, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Luther officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gobler Cemetery at Gobler, Mo.

Pallbearers are Peter Childress, Mark Hubbard, Dennis Childress, Benny Childress, James Childress and Dex Fowler.
