Velma Earlene Miles, 77, of Campbell, Mo., passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Oct. 29, 1934, in Greenway, Ark., daughter of the late J.H. Brandon and Grace Viola Renfro Brandon, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
On Feb. 22, 1955, in Holcomb, Mo., She married Oran Miles, who preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William H. Brandon, Everett D. Brandon and A.L. Brandon, and two sisters, Bertha Boshell and Sylvia Like.
Survivors include two daughters, Neva Hector and husband, Randy, of Malden, Mo., and Cheryl Luther and husband, Donald, of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Candice Smith and Lindsay Anderson, both of Malden, and Jonathan Carnell, of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, Alex Smith and Carson Smith, both of Malden; one brother, Darrell "Bud" Brandon, of Perryville, Mo.; two sisters, Willadean Mackey, of Little Rock, Ark., and Betty Harwood, of Union, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Thursday, Jan. 12, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Elvis Brandon officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Campbell.
