Troy Lee Danels, 67, son of the late Jeff Danels and Maude Pierce Danels, was born Oct. 28, 1944, in Osceola, Ark., and passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at his residence in Kennett.
He was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church in Senath, Mo., and graduated from Senath High School in 1962.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Joyce Danels, of Kennett , mother of his children, and his wife of 35 years; special friend, Shirley Dalton, of Kennett; two daughters, Jill Sloan and husband, James, of Kennett and Kimberly Butler, of Federalsburg, Md; two brothers, Roy Danels and wife, Edna, of Rogersville, Mo., and Bill Danels and wife, Margaret, of Easton, Md.; two sisters, Betty Wood and Ilene Carnell, both of Kennett; two grandchildren, Abigail Grace Sloan, of Kennett, and William Robert Butler of the U.S. Marines stationed in Okinawa, Japan; several nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Thursday, Dec. 29, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Danny Brown, officiating, assisted by Spencer Furby.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens of Kennett.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Bruce, Steve Duffell, C.B. Anderson, Bill Anderson, Ray Crawford, and Danny Rhew.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Faith Baptist Church in Senath.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett is in charge of the arrangements.
