Born in Cardwell, son of the late Paul Alley and Amy Iva Lee Burcham Carter, he was a 1955 graduate of Cardwell High School, and served in the U. S. Army. He was a retired manager of MFA Agri Service in Bernie, Mo., and a longtime member of the Antioch Church of Christ near Cardwell.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Woolard Carter, of the home; his daughter, Phyllis Rogers and husband, Brett, of Vilonia, Ark., and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 2 p.m., to service time at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel with David Flanery officiating.
Burial will follow in Cardwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Nathan Hounsel, Nathan Summitt, Cliff Cupp, Keith Milligan, Bobby Peel and Noah Flanery.
Honorary pallbearers are Norman Jamison and Jesse Summitt.
