Ruby Morris Lee, 98, of Hornersville, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at National Healthcare, Kennett.
Ms. Lee was born on Sept. 8, 1913 in Bernie, Mo., to the late Thomas and Loucetta Black Morris. She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church of Hornersville, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving in many leadership capacities over several years, a resident of the Hornersville area since 1939, served the community at every opportunity, and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include one son, Jimmie Lee, Jr. and wife, Marita, of Hornersville; one daughter, Wilma Droke and husband, Chris, of Hornersville; one sister, Wilma Allen and husband, Jim, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; six grandchildren, Debbie Russell, of Hornersville, Terry Lee, of Doniphan, Mo, David Lee, of Jackson, Miss., Mike Baker, of Michigan, Jason Droke, of Hornersville and Jackie McCormick, of Senath, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Jon Caleb Johnson and Molly Lee, and two great-great-grandchildren, Abby Johnson and Jordan Crawford.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie O. Lee, Sr.; one son, Jack Lee; two sisters, Ruth Winchester and Meredith Capps; two brothers, Lester Morris and Walter Morris.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Thursday, Dec. 15, at the First United Methodist Church in Hornersvillewith Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.
Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens at Kennett, under the direction of Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Ark.
Pallbearers are Mike James, Ronnie Lea, Bill McFarlan, Leonard Glueck, Steve Droke, and Joe Hinesly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
