She was born Dec. 6, 1916, in Hickory Flat, Miss., daughter of the late Thomas Street and Emma Vaughter Wiley.
She married Clyde Edwards. He preceded her in 2001. She was also preceded in death by two sons, William M. Edwards and Donald A. Edwards; a daughter-in-law, Edith Edwards; one grandson, William M. "Billy" Edwards, Jr; two brothers, William Wiley and Lamar Wiley; and four sisters, Mamie Wiley, Mary Landsdale, Ora Wicker, & Vallie Cox.
Surviving are two sons: Jack W. Edwards and wife, Katherine, of Mooresville, N.C., and Jerry T. Edwards and wife, Martha, of Concord, N.C.; a daughter, Rebecca Dinkins and husband, Douglas, of Freeburg; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Addie Mae Edwards, of South Carolina, and special friend, Bonnie Logan and husband, Larry, of Bernie, Mo.
Mrs. Edwards was of the Baptist Faith. She was an avid cook and reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.
There will be no visitation or service. According to her wishes she will be cremated and her ashes will be interred in Hickory Flat, Miss.
