Burl Chester Shaw, 84, of Melbourne, Fla., died Sunday, November 13, 2011, at Palm Bay, Fla. He served in the military. He was a machinist for McDonald-Douglas in St. Louis.
Born April 12, 1927, in Parma, he was the son of the late David W. Shaw and Cecil (Lambert) Shaw. On June 8, 1944, in Piggott, he was united in marriage to Doris Cook Shaw, who preceded him in death on February, 16, 2010.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Barbara Ann Shaw and one sister, Hazel Townsend.
Survivors include four brothers, David W. Shaw, Jr. and wife, Pat, of Malden, Floyd L. Shaw and wife, Shirley, of Parma, Bob G. Shaw of Malden and Mike Shaw and wife, Sue, of Malden, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held Friday, November 18, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 19, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Aulden LaBlanc officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden. Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
