Marie Love, 81, of Marion, Ark., formerly of Kennett, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Poplar Point Health and Rehab in Memphis, Tenn.
Born April 10, 1930, in Dell, Ark., daughter of the late William Gorden and Susie Johnson Gorden, she was a homemaker.
In 1946 in Gobler, she married Richard Love, who preceded her in death in April of 1979. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Duckworth, and two brothers, Charles Gorden and William Gorden, Jr.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Love, of Milwaukee, Wis., Janice Cooper, of Memphis, Earline Green, of Milwaukee and Minnie Love, of Milwaukee; two sons, Isiah Love and wife, Jackie, of Gosnell, Ark., and David Love, of West Memphis, Ark.; one brother, Sylvester Gorden, of Milwaukee; one sister, Henrietta Wardell, of Memphis; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time, Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Victory Temple Church of God in Christ in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, at Victory Temple Church of God in Christ Church with Elder Nathaniel Ellis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oakridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers are Major Justin Cooper, Isiah Love II, Darian Love, David Love II, Derel Love, Antonio White and Rhashaad White.
Honorary pallbearers are Isiah Love, David Love, Isiah Love, Jr., and Andre Yarbrough.
