Mrs. Harty was born Nov. 24, 1938, in Gideon, Mo., to L.R., and I.V. Little. She was a 1956 graduate of Gideon High School. Later, while attending East Texas Baptist College of Marshall, she met her husband, Billy Wayne Harty. Before retiring, Mrs. Harty previously worked as secretary for Second Baptist Church of Marshall. She was most known as owner and caregiver of Harty's Daycare for over 16 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Marshall, and a member of the local Eastern Star Lodge No. 356.
She is survived by her daughter, Keila Harty and son, Keenan Harty, both of Marshall; sister; Gail Little Sharp and husband, Dennis Sharp; niece, Kristi Gail Sharp, of Clarkton, Mo.; one aunt, Beulah Dile, of St. Louis, Mo.; numerous beloved cousins, Bill Little, of St. Louis, Peggy Little Sneed and husband, Tom Sneed, of Liberty City, Mo., Larry Little, of St. Louis, and Patsy Little Williams, of Longview, Texas, as well as their spouses and children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Harty; mother in law, Effie Harty Fried, of Marshall, and her parents, L.R. Little and I.V. Little, of Gideon.
