Addie Marlin, of Kennett, formerly of Senath, Mo., daughter of the late Butler Johnson and Martha Rodgers Johnson, was born April 7, 1921, in Cave City, Ark., and departed this life Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the age of 99 years, six months and 28 days.
She was of the Baptist faith.
On Dec. 25, 1934, she married Rushie Marlin, who preceded in death on Dec. 17, 1984. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael Keith Wheeler and Matthew Ray Houart; two brothers, Rodgers Johnson and Noble Johnson, and one sister, May Horn.
Survivors include three daughters, Francis Davidson and husband, Vernon, of Kennett, Mary Emery and husband, Don, and Linda Gaskin and husband, Hershell, of Kennett; five grandchildren, Mark Wheeler, of Leachville, Ark., Rebecca Ann Waln, of Rome Ga., Kathy Emery, of Kennett, Tammy Neel, of Kennett, Tony Emery of Kennett and Carrie Pritchett, of Kennett, and six great-grandchildren, Seth Neel, Austin Neel, Latisha Pierce, Brittany Mikel, Dylan Mikel and Landon Tucker Emery.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, at Calvary General Baptist Church in Kennett with Revs. Mark Wheeler and Don Emery officiating.
Burial was in the Senath Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Neel, Tony Emery, Seth Neel, Greg Wilson, Dustin Pritchett and Gene Lack.
