Born in Kennett on April 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Willie Lonzo Norton and Ancie Marie (Cheshire) Norton. On October 17, 1968, in St. Louis he was united in marriage to Doris Darlene Fobar, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Tracy Fields and wife, Valerie, of St. Louis and William Norton and wife, Kelcie, of Clarkton; one daughter, Dina Norton of Clarkton; two granddaughters, Lee Ann Fields of St. Louis and Tiffany Laster of Gosnell, Ark.; two great-grandchildren, Riley Norton of Gosnell and Colton Norton of Clarkton, two brothers, Benny Norton of Wappapello and Pete Norton of Clarkton and three sisters, Jean Hendrix of Clarkton, Mary Bridgeman of Piggott and Exie Dickens of Wappapello.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Norton and Jim Norton.
Visitation was held Friday, October 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 22, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Burial was in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
