James Alford Fincher, 78, of Kennett, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at National HealthCare in Kennett.
Born May 3, 1933, in Hacklesburg, Ala., son of the late Thomas Boyd Fincher and Francis Gertrude Brewer Fincher, he was a machine operator for American Can Co.
On Nov. 24, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., he married Barbara Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Fincher, of Festus, Mo.; one son, James Randall Fincher, of Chelsea, Okla.; four daughters, Kathy Jo Vangilder, of Rector, Ark., Patty June Gilliam, of Kennett, Tammy Lynn Robinson, of Festus and Shelly Anne Silvey, of Desoto, Mo.; one brother, Le Fincher, of Brighton, Tenn.; two sisters, Dean Beers, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Bonnie Watson, of Brighton; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held at noon, today, Thursday, Oct. 27, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Maynard officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
