Thelma Grace Adkerson Srum, daughter of the late J.C. and Martha Layne Adkerson, was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Paragould, Ark., and departed this life Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Heritage Nursing Home in Kennett, at the age of 95 years, 10 months and two days.
She was the youngest of 12 children.
She was married to Armand Srum, who preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1993. She was also preceded in death by 11 siblings and a son-in-law, Joe Shrum.
Survivors include one son, Donald Srum and wife, Pat, of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; one daughter, Jean Shrum, of Kennett; four grandchildren, Rick Srum, Robin Lowing, Donna Marshall and Larry Shrum; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, along with two special caregivers and adopted children, Joe and Gale Phillips, of Cardwell, Mo., and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., today, Tuesday, Oct. 25, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with Jody McFadden officiating.
Burial will follow in the Cardwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joe Phillips, Mike Clark, Larry Petty, Glen Kitchens, Buddy Smith and Joe Burgess.
