Margaret Marler, daughter of the late Zache Davis and Nettie Jackson Davis Williams was born Jan. 8, 1920, in Kennett, and departed this life Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at the age of 91 years, 9 months and 13 days.
Margaret married Kenneth Marler who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nelda Usery; two brothers, Raymond Davis and Harold Davis; one grandson, Dennis Usery; a son-in-law, Johnny James and a brother-in-law, Bill French.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was loved by all.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Jerriel Marler and wife, Barbara, of Kennett, Jimmie Marler and wife, Sharon, of Hartville, Mo., and Billie Marler and wife, Judy, of Kennett; two daughters, Barbara Haney and husband, Bill, of West Memphis, Ark., and Carolyn James ,of Dekalb, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Alberta French of Alexandra, La., and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Abiding Peace Church in Kennett.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Abiding Peace Church with Rev. Mark Luther officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Lukas Sams, Dillion Sams, David French, Shannon Smith, Steven Marler and Bill Haney.
