George Lee Hampton, Jr., 66, of Malden died Monday, August 22, 2011, at his residence in Malden. He was an auto body repairman.
Born in JY, Mo., on March 20, 1945, he was the son of William and Julious (Riddell) Hampton. On February 8, 1963, in Bernie, he was united in marriage to Yvonne Howell, who survives of the home in Malden.
Also surviving are one son, George Hampton, Jr., and special friend, Joshua Dugger, of Malden; one sister, Julie Ivonne Winn and husband, Don, of Olathe, Kans.; one sister-in-law, Gloria Hampton of Dexter, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Wayne Hampton.
Visitation was held Wednesday, August 24, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, August 25, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Raymond Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in Elder Cemetery at Campbell. Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
